Chef Marianne's Kitchen Face-lift!

This oak to white kitchen was quite the transformation. It just goes to show what a bit of paint can do. The original wood finish gave the space a dark and lifeless atmosphere.

Refinishing to SW 7626 Zurich White was just the trick. Walls were repainted to Dulux Stratosphere in egg-shell, while counters, back-splash, and floors were unchanged. With the new cabinet finish, the black quartz counters really popped!

Marianne's Oak to Zurich White Kitchen oak doors

Marianne's oak doors had a wood grain and texture finish to them. When refinishing, keep in mind that whatever texture you have on your doors and cabinets is the same texture that will remain after refinishing. This means that if you feel grooves when you scratch your nails over your doors, they won't be eliminated after refinishing. What you will be left with is a solid colour finish, but the texture shows through. It's difficult to see from the photos, but above is a closer look. When we do our in-home estimates, we bring representative door samples so that you'll see what the finished product will look like.

We loved the end result! Light and airy, this kitchen was ready to be the source of all Marianne's delicate and beautiful creations!
